About the Role
The Drywall / Plaster Installer is responsible for performing new installations and repairs of drywall and plaster surfaces in both residential and commercial properties. This includes measuring, cutting, hanging, taping, mudding, sanding, texturing, and finishing walls and ceilings as part of restoration and reconstruction projects.
-Install drywall sheets, cut openings for windows, doors, electrical, and plumbing
-Tape, mud, and sand drywall seams to a smooth finish
-Apply plaster coatings and custom textures as required
-Patch, repair, and replace damaged drywall and plaster after demolition
-Match existing textures and finishes for seamless restoration
-Ensure surfaces are prepped and ready for painting or other finishes
-Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
-Work closely with project managers, painters, and other trades
-Follow all safety protocols, building codes, and job specifications
Requirements
5+ years of proven experience in drywall hanging, taping, and finishing
Experience in plaster repair and application (Venetian, skim coat, etc.)
Familiarity with hand and power tools used in drywall installation
Ability to lift heavy materials and work on ladders or scaffolding
Reliable transportation and own tools preferred
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
Able to meet deadlines and work efficiently
Experience in emergency restoration or reconstruction projects (preferred)
