About the Role
The Flooring Installer is responsible for removing, prepping, and installing a variety of flooring materials including tile, laminate, hardwood, vinyl, carpet, and engineered flooring. The installer ensures a high-quality finish and works closely with the project manager and other trades during restoration and reconstruction.
-Measure, cut, and lay flooring materials according to design plans
-Remove old flooring, prepare and level subfloors
-Install tile (ceramic, porcelain), vinyl, laminate, engineered wood, or carpet
-Apply adhesives, grouts, and sealants as needed
-Ensure accurate transitions, seams, and clean finishing work
-Repair or replace damaged flooring from water or mold incidents
-Maintain a clean and organized workspace
-Follow all safety procedures and building code requirements
-Communicate with team members and clients professionally
Requirements
3+ years of experience in professional flooring installation
Skilled in working with multiple flooring types and patterns
Knowledge of tools, materials, and subfloor preparation
Attention to detail and ability to deliver precise, high-quality work
Must have reliable transportation and tools
Ability to lift and move heavy flooring materials
Experience in restoration or emergency construction is a plus
