About the Role
The Carpenter is responsible for performing a variety of carpentry tasks during the reconstruction and remodeling phases of restoration projects. This includes framing, trim work, cabinetry, door/window installation, and general woodwork repairs. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced in both rough and finish carpentry.
-Perform framing, drywall backing, and structural woodwork
-Install baseboards, crown molding, and trim
-Install and repair doors, windows, cabinets, and shelving
-Build and repair wood structures, partitions, and supports
-Read blueprints, drawings, and job specifications
-Operate power tools and carpentry equipment safely and efficiently
-Work with project managers and other trades to stay on schedule
-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
-Follow local building codes and job site safety procedures
Requirements
Minimum 3–5 years of carpentry experience
Proficient in both rough and finish carpentry
Ability to read and interpret construction plans
Must have own tools and reliable transportation
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
Able to work independently or as part of a team
Experience in restoration or emergency reconstruction (preferred)
